Who We Are
Music has a unique way of bringing people together, and that’s why we’re here. The Michigan Music Hall of Fame is a community that celebrates the achievements of everyone involved in making the music we know, love, and want to discover. From fans
to musicians to photographers to sound engineers and guitar techs if they played a role in Michigan’s musical history, we want their achievements to shine.
Our collection of contributions to the music scene recognizes people involved in all genres so we can show off Michigan’s diverse musical heritage. With the help of music fans everywhere submitting names to be considered for induction into the hall of fame, we’re ready to create an online history book that allows everyone to explore the Michigan music experience.

To collect, research, preserve, and share the music of Michigan that has impacted art and culture in the state and across the world.
Induction Process
Do you know someone (or something) you think should be included in the hall of fame? Let us know! Every submission will be voted on by our board of directors and other music fans like you. Share the name of the person, song, or band you’d like to be inducted along with the reason for your submission and a description of how your choice has contributed to Michigan music.

The Michigan Music Hall of Fame, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization, and contributions are tax deductible under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. If you choose to make a donation, your receipt will be issued when qualifying contributions, bequests, transfers, or gifts are received.
